About The Sports Holiday School

Mike Rejc played professionally in Europe and was Assistant Coach in charge of rookie development. Mike spent many years studying and practising Russian training techniques, which enabled him to play professionally until the age of 37. He was coached and tutored by Vladimir Kerikunov, a member of the Russian '76 Canada Cup Team and Head Coach of Moscow Dynamo for 7 years. Mike is a Certified Canadian Powerskating Instructor who takes personal pride in helping each student develop to his/her maximum potential.

To play the hockey well, the player must become both a skilled skater and stickhandler. Skills Hockey School employs the most innovative Russian and European instructional methods and drills which focus on skating and stickhandling. The proven teaching techniques employed will focus on developing the player into a smooth skater and stickhandler, with exceptional speed, balance and edge control. Through the use of innovative drills and techniques, we want to challenge players, motivate them and maximize their potential.

The program is designed to build strength, stamina, speed, balance and total body control. The drills stress powerskating (forward and backward), edge control, balance, puck control, passing, shooting and eye/hand/foot coordination.

Skills Hockey School will develop the player's body to the particular needs of the game of hockey and will increase his/her range of motion and flexibility.
